The Old Christmas Station

The Old Christmas Station – Frankenmuth, Michigan (Project No. 31411)

If you have an opportunity to be in Frankenmuth, Michigan be sure to stop by The Old Christmas Station. It is an old railroad depot that has been turned into a cafe with a special museum with antique Christmas ornaments and Christmas cards. We were given the opportunity to build the display cases for this personal collection museum. The cases were built from Red Oak with a Cordovan Cherry stain and clear lacquer. To protect the items from fading we used a special coated glass to protect from UV light which can fade colors and yellow paper. The owners were very happy with the way the display cases showcased their collection.
