Radiant Acrylic Sheet
A new acrylic substrate was introduced by Acrylite® that really draws the eye to the display. 
Using a new acrylic substrate and iridescent colors, ACRYLITE® Radiant acrylic sheet takes P-O-P displays to a whole new level. The sheet's surface shifts through the color spectrum as it is viewed from different angles and uses ambient light to provide a mirrorized effect. It energize P-O-P displays, signs and store fixtures and is specifically designed for the P-O-P display market. Here are some benefits of this new material:

Acrylite® Radiant acrylic sheet creates unique light shows, color changes and eye-catching movement when used for fixtures and displays. The sheet's surface shifts through the color spectrum as it is viewed from different angles and provides a mirrored effect.
Developed for interior applications, the sheet has a treated surface incorporating proprietary technology to give the sheet its ‘radiant’ effect. This innovative technology gives the acrylic tremendous depth and amazing special effects. Easy to work with, ACRYLITE Radiant sheet can be cut, routed and drilled similar to standard acrylic, allowing for unlimited design options. It can also be line bent without losing its ‘radiant’ properties. The untreated surface of the sheet can be silk screened and hot stamped. The sheet can be thermoformed in slight draws or shallow forms for three-dimensional displays without detriment to its visual effects. The untreated side can also be cemented to itself or other acrylics with ease. The material is available in 48” x 96” sheets in 3.0mm thickness.
Suppliers of thermoformable sheet are incorporating special pigments to give retail displays exotic visual effects. New examples come from Cyro Industries in Rockaway, N.J., and Atoglas Div. of AtoFina Chemicals in Philadelphia. Cyro's new Acrylite Radiant acrylic sheet uses a proprietary surface treatment to change color as the angle of vision changes and to show mirroring and color-depth effects (see photo). Sheet can be formed at modest draw ratios without sacrificing special-effect performance. Forming contours in parts even enhance the color-shift effects. The sheet measures 48 x 96 in. and 3-mm thick. Atoglas' Plexiglas EdgeFX acrylic sheet imparts dichromatic or dual-color edge effects in pairs of fluorescent colors that shimmer and change as the angle of view changes. "Thermoforming often enhances dual-color effects," remarks Tom DeMain, marketing manager.

Thus, specialty lighting is not required to produce eye-catching movement at the point of sale. The acrylic sheet has a treated surface, but it can be cut, routed and drilled similar to standard acrylic, and bending does not diminish the radiant properties.
