"Green" Plastic Resin Panels
3Form has developed a new plastic resin that is identified as a co-polyester named ecoresin. They then take their own panel system called Varia that features decorative interlayers encased with 100% ecoresin, producing a very aesthetic and environmentally safe product. These panels can be custom-selected by any color, pattern, interlayer and finish. The combinations are virtually limitless and gives the designer or planner ultimate control over the product output.
Many plastics will produce byproducts that are considered health hazards when they are burned. Some of these byproducts include chlorine gas, hydrochloric acid, or hypochlorous acid. Ecoresin on the other hand, only produces carbon and water when burned, making it much better on the environment than other plastics.
3Form's website gives an in-depth look at why the product is so good for the environment and the people who make it.
Varia is manufactured under strict OSHA approved safety first standards at the 3form headquarters in Salt Lake City Utah and is free of harmful VOC's, solvents and emissions.

As a member of the United States Green Building Council and an avid supporter of wildlife preservation, 3form continually develops both ecoresin and Varia to exceed LEED accreditation insuring at least 40% post industrial recycled content, freedom from plasticizers or stabilizers and the absence of toxic off gassing- even when incinerated.
Ecoresin is also specifically engineered to withstand high impact resistance, and in an instance where the product does fail, the material will fail in a ductile rather than fractile manner. For an example, a nail that is hammered into a sheet of ecoresin will only produce a single hole, rather than cracking or breaking the rest of the material. This makes the product easier to install without breaking it easily.
